Maju Jaya Tekstil has designed an art installation called Seni Pendar which uses its fabric products, aiming at introducing their products to visitors at the 2023 Halal Fair & Halal Indonesia International Trade Show (HIITS).

Banten, Tangerang (Indonesia Window) – As a strategic step in strengthening the Muslim fashion ecosystem in Indonesia, Maju Jaya Tekstil, one of the leading textile suppliers in the country, for the first time participates in the Halal Fair & Halal Indonesia International Trade Show (HIITS) held at Indonesia Convention Center in Serpong area, Tangerang city, from 8 to 10 December.

“The Muslim fashion industry is a dynamic market with huge growth opportunities. Business actors must be smart in seizing opportunities. Starting from researching trends that are of interest to children and adults, online and offline market research, determining the source of product supply: sewing yourself or just as a reseller or dropshipper, determining a business plan, capital calculations and promotions," said the owner of Maju Jaya Tekstil, Sagar M. Vasandani, in the talk show 'B to C Sales Strategy for MSMEs dealing with Muslim Clothing', Sunday.

The event, which has become a trendsetter in the development of the halal industry in Indonesia, was optimized by Maju Jaya Tekstil not only for branding and promotion of new product launches, but also as an educational vehicle for MSME (micro, small and medium enterprises) players.

In this event, Vasandani collaborated with the founder & Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Kasisolusi (a business learning media), Deryansha Azhary, who also has a high commitment to developing the quality of MSMEs by providing education to MSMEs in the country.

According to the entrepreneur who has been developing Maju Jaya Tekstil for 11 years, there are quite a few sellers who are not yet technologically literate and have difficulty adapting to rapid changes.

If in the past sellers could prepare their fashion collections long ago and last for a certain period, now they have to be more adaptive and follow developments in trends in producing their fashion collections.

“Sellers must struggle to compromise with market tastes in order for their business to survive. However regarding quality and innovation, it must be number one," he said.

Vasandani further explained that there is an increasing trend in the hijra community with people becoming increasingly aware of the importance of healthy skin as mobility increases.

"This is the challenge, how can business actors present sharia fashion products with simple, elegant models and made from cool materials," he said.

According to him, the government cannot possibly close the door for foreign investment to take advantage of Indonesia's large market.
