Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto welcomed the Commander of the United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM),
General Bryan Fenton, at Merdeka Palace, Jakarta, Monday (4/8), during which the latter presented an honorary medal of the USSOCOM to the former.
The honorary medal was conferred for President Prabowo’s advocacy for enhancing security measures, which has significantly contributed to the global fight against threats as well as support for stability and peace in the region, the Indonesia Cabinet Secretariat reported.
At the meeting, General Fenton expressed appreciation for the strong relations between the militaries of Indonesia and the United States.
“I feel honored to visit Indonesia, representing 70,000 men and women at the U.S. Special Operations Command. We appreciate the close relations with the Indonesian military as a key partner to ensure stability in the region,” he said.

On the occasion, the Indonesian head of state was accompanied by Minister of Foreign Affairs Sugiono, Minister of Defense Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin, Minister of State Secretariat Prasetyo Hadi, and Cabinet Secretariat Teddy Indra Wijaya.
